OX Franchise - Overview


1. Franchisor (OX Franchisor Pvt Ltd)

Role: Think of this as the “system manager” sitting above the franchise network. The central authority of the franchise ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns and controls the franchise system, playbook, legal framework, and monitoring.
  • Define franchise model (master/sub-franchise tiers, revenue splits, SOPs).
  • Draft & enforce franchise agreements.
  • Provide training, tech access (via OX Platform), and operational manuals.
  • Audit compliance and ensure service quality across franchisees.
  • Centralized marketing guidelines, pricing rules, and reporting formats.

Authority:

  • Final say on franchise policies, pricing rules, and service categories.
  • Can grant, renew, or revoke franchise rights.
  • Can penalize, suspend, or terminate non-compliant franchisees.

Revenue:

  • One-time Franchise Fee: Paid by Master Franchisee for territorial rights.
  • Recurring Royalty: % of all gross revenues processed via OX Platform.

2. Master Franchisee

Role: Area operator with exclusive rights to a defined territory (taluk level).

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages franchise operations within assigned territory.
  • Invest in infrastructure (regional office, training centers).
  • Recruits, trains, and manages Sub Franchisees.
  • Ensure local compliance (licenses, tax registrations).
  • Provides first-level support to Sub-franchisees.
  • Report sales, compliance, and farmer engagement metrics back to OX Franchisor Pvt Ltd.
  • Handle customer local marketing.

Authority:

  • Operates a territory-level dashboard.
  • Manages Sub Franchisee onboarding under OX Agry guidelines.
  • Limited customization of services (as allowed by OX Agry).

Revenue:

  • Territory Override Commission: A defined % on all revenues generated within their territory.
  • Rental Income: Income from rental of infrastructure which is shared with Sub-franchisees.

3. Sub-franchisee

Role: Local operator delivering services directly to farmers/customers within their defined zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Run day-to-day local operations (machinery services, inputs, trade, etc.).
  • Ensure quality of service as per OX Agry standards.
  • Handle customer transactions and local marketing.
  • Maintain records and submit reports on OX Platform.

Authority:

  • Operates service-specific dashboard.
  • Access is limited to own operations, customer base, and local data.
  • Cannot appoint further franchisees.

Revenue:

  • Service Commission: Earns commission on sales or bookings facilitated (inputs retail, machinery workshops, spare retail, café, etc.).
