OX Café Sub-Franchisee Launch Checklist


Step 1: Approval & Agreement

  • ☐ Sub-Franchisee application submitted to Master Franchisee.
  • ☐ Due diligence & background verification.
  • ☐ Approval by OX Franchisor.
  • ☐ Sub-Franchise Agreement signed (defining revenue share, obligations, compliance rules).

Step 2: Site Finalization

  • ☐ Location identified within cluster territory.

  • ☐ Site survey conducted by Master Franchisee + OX team.

  • ☐ Minimum requirements checked:

    • Size: 400–800 sq. ft.
    • Power, water, drainage available.
    • High footfall zone (college, bus stand, Booking Center, town hub).
  • ☐ Final OX approval for site.


Step 3: Café Setup

  • ☐ Lease/rent agreement signed.
  • ☐ Interior design as per OX Café branding standards.
  • ☐ Signage, logo boards, wall graphics installed.
  • ☐ Fixtures installed: counter, shelves, seating (if applicable).

Step 4: Equipment Installation

  • ☐ Coffee machine & grinder installed.
  • ☐ Oven/warmer for reheating.
  • ☐ Display fridge for bakery & cold items.
  • ☐ Freezer for packaged items.
  • ☐ POS billing system installed & integrated with OX platform.
  • ☐ CCTV setup for monitoring.
  • ☐ Water purifier & storage units fixed.

Step 5: Staff Recruitment & Training

  • ☐ Staff recruited (cashier, server, helper).

  • ☐ OX onboarding training completed:

    • Customer service basics.
    • Hygiene & cleanliness standards.
    • Food handling & reheating process.
    • POS & digital payment system usage.
    • Uniform & grooming guidelines.

Step 6: Supply Chain Integration

  • ☐ Centralized kitchen (OX Park) mapped to café outlet.
  • ☐ Daily/weekly supply schedule finalized.
  • ☐ Storage & stock management system activated.
  • ☐ Trial supply run conducted before launch.

Step 7: Compliance & Audit

  • ☐ Health & safety inspection done.
  • ☐ Fire extinguisher & first-aid kit placed.
  • ☐ Audit by OX compliance team for branding, hygiene, and tech setup.
  • ☐ Final "Go-Live" approval from OX Franchisor.

Step 8: Marketing & Pre-Launch

  • ☐ Social media & OX app announcement scheduled.
  • ☐ Leaflet / local promotion campaign in outlet area.
  • ☐ Pre-launch tasting session for influencers, local groups, or farmers.
  • ☐ Master Franchisee coordinates opening event (optional).

Step 9: Launch Day

  • ☐ Outlet opens with standardized menu.
  • ☐ First-day sales monitored by OX platform team.
  • ☐ Centralized kitchen ensures supply consistency.
  • ☐ OX team provides on-ground support for first 3 days.

Step 10: Post-Launch Monitoring

  • ☐ Daily sales reports auto-synced to platform.
  • ☐ Weekly review with Master Franchisee.
  • ☐ First-month audit by OX Franchisor.
  • ☐ Continuous training & support for staff.

With this checklist:

  • Sub-Franchisee gets clear guidance from day one.
  • Master Franchisee has a repeatable process for scaling across the cluster.
  • OX Franchisor ensures quality & brand consistency.
