3. Setup Requirements

  1. Location

    • Store size: As per OX standards.
    • Located in Park, Node, Booking Centers (Dark stores) within the cluster.
    • Mostly delivered to farms directly.
  2. Store Design & Branding

    • OX-approved design, signage, and product displays.
    • Organized shelves for fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and feed.
  3. Equipment

    • POS system integrated with OX platform.
    • Storage racks and weighing machine.
    • Safety cabinet for pesticides.
    • CCTV for monitoring.
  4. Staffing

    • 1–2 sales executives.
    • Preferably with agri product knowledge.
    • Training provided by OX.

4. Operations

  • Supply Chain

    • Stock supplied from OX Park warehouse.
    • No independent procurement allowed.
    • Inventory auto-tracked via OX platform.
  • Sales & Billing

    • All billing through OX POS (cash, UPI, card, OX Wallet).
    • Daily reporting synced with OX platform.
  • Customer Engagement

    • Educate farmers on safe & correct usage.
    • Conduct seasonal campaigns (seed launches, fertilizer packs).
    • Implement OX loyalty and cashback programs.
  • Compliance

    • Valid fertilizer & pesticide dealer licenses mandatory.
    • Only OX-approved SKUs to be stocked.
    • Adhere to storage & labeling laws.

5. Financial Model

  • Revenue Flow

    • Farmer pays via OX POS → Payment flows through OX Platform.
    • OX deducts product supply cost + brand/platform fees → Balance credited to Sub-Franchisee.
  • Indicative Revenue Share

    • Sub-Franchisee: 8–15% retail margin.
    • Master Franchisee: 1–2% cluster supervision fee.
    • OX: 2–3% platform & brand fee.
  • Investment

    • Setup: ₹8–12 lakhs (store interiors, racks, POS).
    • Initial stock: ₹5–8 lakhs (inputs supplied by OX).
    • Working capital: ₹1–2 lakhs.

6. Compliance & Monitoring

  • Licenses: Mandatory state licenses for fertilizer & pesticide sales.
  • Audits: Monthly by Master Franchisee, quarterly by OX.
  • Standards: Display, packaging, and pricing per OX guidelines.
  • Safety: Proper chemical storage and disposal.
  • Penalties: Unauthorized sourcing or non-compliance may lead to termination.

7. Roles & Responsibilities

Sub-Franchisee

  • Invests & operates the inputs outlet.
  • Manages staff, sales, farmer engagement.
  • Maintains licenses & compliance.
  • Reports sales through OX platform.

Master Franchisee

  • Supervises all inputs outlets in the cluster.
  • Ensures smooth supply chain from OX Park.
  • Conducts audits & provides support.

OX Franchisor

  • Manages the distribution & logistics of inputs from various vendors.
  • Decides pricing, SKUs, and promotions.
  • Provides training & compliance monitoring.
